TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

TabTrade — What It Is

Tab Trade went live in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.

The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the person running this has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. It is preferable to a random name you cannot trace.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities institutional desks use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker this new, that coverage is not narrow.

What You Trade On

Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from the same login. Many pick one platform. Getting both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the more modern one. Better DOM. Faster charting. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural after using both.

FIX API is offered for automated strategies but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly coming. That would be a good addition once it is live.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your real cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. This broker has no minimum.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not for typical accounts. Skip it unless you run serious volume.

Infrastructure

The execution is where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Combine that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and what you get holds up. Few brokers at this price point have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Now, the part that requires honesty. Tab Trade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Dodgy operations do not invest in Equinix connectivity. None of this guarantee anything. It should be part of your assessment.

The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

TabTrade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard deposit match. You put money in, they credit extra capital. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you commit.
